Frequently Asked Questions
Do these drawers fit in my existing cabinets or do I have to buy new cabinets?
| |
All our products are designed and manufactured to fit into existing cabinets. If you are building a new home, we can design as soon as your cabinets have been installed in the house. You do not have to buy new cabinets.
Can I install them myself?
| |
We install all our products so that the manufacturer’s warranty covers the product. Our installers are factory trained and have special tools for the job.
What is the warranty?
| |
The manufacturers we represent offer a lifetime warranty on the drawers for as long as you own your home.
How do I find out how much it costs?
| |
Since our products are custom-made, we do a free in-home consultation to select the best product for each cabinet and to determine the price of the project. Figure on $100 per drawer installed. Blind corners are extra. Stile removals and shelf insertions are extra.
How long does it take to do the entire project?
| |
Since the products are custom manufactured for you, it takes approximately 3 weeks.
How much weight do they hold?
| |
The drawers are rated for 100 pounds.
Do the drawers come in different colors?
| |
The drawers come in real birch, which is blond. You can get white drawers for a small extra charge. The bottoms are white melamine.
What are the drawers made of?
| |
The drawers are made of 9-ply Baltic birch-aircraft construction grade wood. The bottoms are melamine, which is easy to clean and resists scratching.
How much space will I lose in my cabinets?
| |
The inside of the drawer is usually 2 inches smaller than the opening (width) because of the sides of the drawer and rails. Loss in width is made up by access to the rear of the cabinet. You can put the drawer even in narrow cabinets, which are almost useless without them.
